There’s big news for event marketers from Edison Research in their latest Infinite Dial study: Podcasts have now achieved 50 percent reach. “This is a watershed moment for podcasting – a true milestone,” noted Tom Webster, Senior Vice President at Edison Research. “With over half of Americans 12+ saying that they have ever listened to a podcast, the medium has firmly crossed into mainstream.”.
Events can be a great way to expand brand awareness, educate an audience on a given topic or even form important connections within your industry. EE, the popular mobile network provider, is testing a 5G-powered WiFi at Glastonbury this summer. It will be the first time this technology is used at a UK festival and comes ahead of it being rolled out to other cities and events later this year.
